What We Do

Success Beyond Limits (SBL) is an education-based organization that supports youth along their educational journeys toward success. We do this work primarily through our SBL Youth Space, located inside Westview Secondary School in Jane and Finch, which is open Monday to Friday. We also offer high-quality, comprehensive programming throughout the school year and summer months.

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve educational outcomes, expand possibilities, and support youth in Jane and Finch along their individual paths to success.

The Community

SBL’s model and mandate are rooted in the Jane and Finch community. Our work remains deeply local while also looking at the bigger picture of how young people are supported across schools, services, and systems. Community-based knowledge is central to SBL; we value it through our staff, teachers, mentors, and mentees. At SBL, community is a verb.

Collaborative

SBL is built on a horizontal rather than hierarchical model, we make decisions and move together as a community.

Community Based

We value the knowledge and values, experiences and capacities of our community.

Flexibility

If the pandemic has taught us anything, it is that flexibility is core and vital to remaining viable and integral to our community.

Youth Led

We ensure that we instil leadership and capacity through our SBL Growth and Graduation Model.
