Impact In Action
Our Basketball Mentorship Program pairs experienced SBL alumni with current high school players. Through mentorship and workshops focused on positive youth development, participants build leadership, receive guidance, and grow both on and off the court while strengthening connections within the SBL community.
In 2025, SBL awarded scholarships to 20 outstanding youth supporting their post-secondary journeys. Each recipient completed our Growth & Graduation Model, advancing from participant to mentor while demonstrating leadership, dedication, and commitment to their community. Hear from them directly about what this support means.
This year, youth participated in hands-on visits to three post-secondary institutions, exploring future opportunities and discovering their interests. Experiencing campus life firsthand highlights the importance of post-secondary education in shaping career paths and personal growth.
